Doctor Eleven is just 26 - so what!
At least he's older than Devious. We need to get this thing finished before the Next Doctor - ie number 12. Chances are he could be a teenager! Actually, we doubt that. Matt Smith was cast as he was the right man for the job. Neither age nor ethnicity should be a bar to a job. Sex shouldn't be either - but then the character of the Doctor is male. James Bond is male and you wouldn't expect him to change. Or Mr Marple perhaps. Still, he's an alien, and the Master was once a squiggly worm in the Movie so anything can happen. Let's see what Mr Moffet wants to do first. We've also got a great year to look forward to - we'll be drip-fed the remaining Doctor number Ten stories. Time to savour; to try to keep (major) spoiler-free and enjoy the expectation. David Tennant is still the Doctor and he has made a unique impact on the series (and British drama as a whole) - there's plenty of time to think about 2010 and beyond.
