time flies like an arrow ...

... and fruit flies like a banana - yep, heard that one.

We appreciate you haven't seen much of Devious yet (and truly you will soon - The Never Was will whet your appetite as well (just seeing the sets in use again gets us all misty eyed for those days back with our Doctor...)). That's a double ")" - what kind of english is this?

What do we all think of the new series on the telly by the way? Really looking forward to seeing Robot of Sherwood - we thought you'd forgive us this doctored image...

not again

Its easy for all of us making fan videos to say "we did that first" regarding a particlar scene or shot seen in real DW - for instance there's a great asteroid shot in "Into the Dalek" which reminds us of something...

Sorry for the lack of updates - we have been very busy though - chiefly in not realsing just how long it would take to complete the short "The Never Was" celebratory film. We're preparing the Never Was website (and indeed also the Devious website) for a countdown to the launch - just like they do at the BBC. Just for fun mind - not to be taken too seriously!

Great to hear Steven Moffat applauding the fan productions in a recent stage appearance in the USA during the 12th Doctor World Tour and great especially to know that the new title sequence was inspired from a speculative fan version. And we think that was local to us in Sussex too. Maybe there's something in the water. To prove we've not been idle we'll include a few pics of us at work...

Death to Stanmer Park...

above: "Death to.... Stanmer Park" - The Devious daleks have been out and about a bit since their appearance at the Brighton Centre earlier in the year - a trio have been on school duties (and in the local newspaper) (lent to a local school for a term for their space projects) whilst one in silver and blue Evil / Devious colours was at another school in mid Sussex for a number of weeks. And the Devious dalek now painted up in the "Death to the Daleks" colour scheme was at the Brighton Kite Festival at Stanmer Park and also at Summer Ponds near Horsham with the Evil / Devious dalek earlier this summer. Most odd!

Actually the Death to the Daleks dalek has a middle section salvaged from the back of Ashley's shed. He does tend to chuck stuff away and then realise he can use bits! For example - Alex Scutt's dalek in Worthing (Type 40 Models - well worth a visit!) has another of Ashley's dalek middles. And there's a base he chucked now used as part of a new dalek in Patcham Brighton! He didn't fancy repainting the middle back to Devious colours afterwards and so merely hung it up in his shed and reused the old one! In fact the old one was never used in a full dalek - it was made especially for the Dalek Control Room scene in Devious to house a dalek brain unit!

Anyway - the dalek above will be away again for a couple of weeks this September appearing at the following...
