A brief note from Ashley who would like to express his thanks for the half-conversations he had with the excellent members of the Dalek Builders Guild who had a stand at the recent Brighton Modelworld exhibition. Ashley had gone along with his elder son Adam who is really into trains, but daleks less so (with a couple at home we imagine they're not quite as unusual as they would be to other kids). So for the short while Ashley managed to speak to Stuart, Steve, Dale et al he would like to thank them and to wish them all continued success in their building endeavours. The half conversations were so because young Adam wanted to drag his Dad back over to an N-gauge railway he'd liked!
The aluminium-turned dalek artifacts were superb and in conversation with the builder (whose name has been lost to the mists of time in Ashley's raddled memory) that metal dalek project seems one worth watching indeed. The other daleks on show and the other attractions such as the cyber head and the K9 were simply excellent - well done to all concerned. A great bunch and great ambassadors all of them for our continued enthusiasm in this wierd and wonderful TV show. Ashley has a few pics from the show which may gravitate towards the site eventually.
