Observer Nilan
Richard Kingshott joined us on a number of occasions both on location and in our 'studio' (ie Stephen's house) for Tardis scenes. As one of the TimeLord Observers he had to play two characters - not only Nilan (and we can't recall why he had that name!) but Uist the Villager in the 'Archers' scene. Poor Richard was decked out in material from an old sofa (yes really) to make a rough tribal costume and was required to trek down to the quarry for a great day of filming with Tony and others. We also went to Devil's Dyke with him for extra scenes for 'Imberhorne' and he had to cope with one of Ashley's fake swords made from copper piping. And he's still in contact with us, remarkably!
