For those of you who remember seeing the Glass Dalek from episode three – well it returns in this new episode five! Glass? – more likely a dalekanium variant! This Dalek serves as a template as well as a controller for the production line. The various connecting pipes and wires show it is intimately connected to the production line area but it is still able to communicate with the rest of the Dalek command structure. We have the Black Dalek Supreme and the Weapon Control Dalek (both distinguishable by their orange dome lights) and this Glass Dalek – the Production Line Overseer Dalek (P.L.O.D.). PLOD? Maybe it polices the production line?

Anyway we though at couple of new images from the episode five featuring the Glass Dalek would be good to show. But stop thinking of it as PLOD. Damn! I can’t get it out of my mind now…

In this final new image we see how the Glass Dalek (not PLOD), is situated within Building B – the middle of the three Production Line buildings…

The Glass Dalek was inspired by our love for classic Doctor Who – the Glass Dalek in “Revelation of the Daleks”. It was deliberately lit with pink / red lights to evoke that particular story icon. It hasn’t called out for “Natasha” as yet…
